After 9 months and 11 days of praying, searching and waiting for a full time position, God opened a door for me to walk through on Thursday. Gone are the days of being glued to internet job search sites, hours of filling out online applications and receiving dear John letters from potential employers. Instead, God has provided a job in Delaware near my house working for Amazon.com.
Initially, I was going to write a blog until I found my next position. However, since its been almost a year, I will continue this blog for at least a year, possibly turning these posts into a book or year long devotional. Since each day has an important life lesson to learn, I will continue sharing what the Lord teaches me daily. Like Paul’s words to the church of Philippi, “Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that which Christ Jesus took hold of me,” Philippians 3:12.
Since this position does not begin until November, God is beginning to reveal his vision for my life. I have 3 weeks to edit Express Yourself so I can make the next screen writer’s deadline for another contest. In addition, I am eager to restart writing Behind the Devil’s Door once this first assignment so I can make the April 15th deadline for a 2013 contest. As Psalm 150 declares, its time to praise the Lord!
